Not bad for corporate BBQ. It fulfilled a need to stop for barbecue in Kentucky. Service was good atmosphere was fine if you like chain restaurants, which i try to avoid. Pulled pork was ok, and brisket was decent. The three sauces were uninspiring.

Service was slow and rude. Stephanie had an attitude and only tried to refill the beer but neglected the other needed refills. The garlic sirloin was gross. Food was served cold after waiting 45 minutes. Also later discovered our server ran a tip scam charging a $45 tip to our credit card.

Well. They were out of brisket again. Considering the place is on fire, I guess I won't have to worry about trying again any time soon.

I think that this is a good place and could really be a great restaurant. I came here on Father's Day and the place was packed there was probably a 35 to 45 minute wait which was not a problem at all. The problem was everything took forever they don't seem like they really have a system here I don't know if it was just because it was Father's Day or if this is how they operate all the time. The menu had a lot of different food options from chicken to burgers to salads.

One of mine and my husband's favorite places to go. Don't know why it has such a low rating but have noticed that most are from a while back. Portions are huge and my husband swears they have the best wings he has ever had! The BBQ chicken is so tender and the doughnuts are a must for dessert. Oh and if ur looking for the best waitress just ask for Kayla, she always takes the best care of us.

Never even got seated! Walked in and the host asked if we would like a round top in the bar area. Told him no I would not sit my 8yr old in the bar area. (This seems to be an ongoing issue here in the south...bar areas are not appropriate for kids. We cant be the only family with class and morals living around here) people were sitting on the right side in booths away from the bar. My husband asked if we could sit there and the host made this whole production of looking at his seating chart, and then proceeded to try and convince my husband they dont really have a bar and so he will just seat us at the roundtop. We left and went to Chuys. Great food awsome workers that are customer oriented AND they saw we had a young kid with us so they sat us in the restraunt side never making the bar seating an option.

When I arrived with my family there was no one at the check in and we had to wait quite a bit for someone to come seat us. I won't knock down a star because we weren't in a hurry. Our waitress was so polite, sweet, and attentive. I've never had a nicer waitress. She left us alone and didn't interrupt us when we were talking, but made sure we had everything we needed. The food was great. We started with the wings and they were the best wings I've ever had. They weren't greasy and were perfectly crispy with just the right amount of bbq sauce. Heaven! The baked beans were delicious and I loved the ribs. My brother got the pulled pork and brisket and was very happy. My parents got the ribs also and said they were great.

Fantastic brisket tender and tasty but not over cooked. Baby back were amazing with their original sauce. Only in town for the Corvette Tour and Museum so great soul food always appreciated. Staff amazingly courteous.

I see why this location only received 2 stars overall. If I could give zero stars I would! Place was empty and we were put on a 15 min wait? (Only had a party of 5 - Sunday night at 7:30 pm). After we sat down we waited another 10 min before a server came by to take our order...meanwhile the managers were in the back clapping and having a great time with their employees. Food was ok. However the overall experience was horrible. Go anywhere else but here unless you have a lot of time to waste.

Split Tree was too busy so we drove down and the name caught our eye. Went in and got pulled pork sandwiches that were fine. The mac'n'cheese side (an extra $2.99) was creamy but it seemed to have been thrown in the microwave about 20 seconds too long. What made the food better than fine was the four sauces on the table. All-in-all it was fine. Wasn't really impressed though and being from the North I was looking forward to some good ol' down home cooking. Not so much.

We were the first ones in the door. I ordered dry baby back ribs with hand cut fries and side salad. Side salad was wilted and parts of cucumber already translucent from rotting. Ribs were not dry, looked to be baked with large amounts of fat that I tried to eat around. There was a powder and sauce on the side. My husband got chicken that tasted sour like it was not good. The pulled pork was cooked well but there was no savory flavor. The fries were hot and good. My son got a plain cheeseburger and they forgot the cheese. Food not Good. I can see where this could be a place to hang for Bar with drinks since open till 2am. Server William was Most Helpful, Courteous and Served us Well. Sorry, unless your catching a Drink. Move on.

I've been to this particular Smokey Bones 3 times in the past, eh 5 months-ish. I have always received great service, great food and the wait-times were never ridiculous. Granted, I usually ended up going around 11 P.M since I got off work at 10:30. My boyfriend usually got the brisket (don't remember what sides he got) and I would get a 6 oz filet steak, baked potato and mac and cheese and fried pickles as an appetizer. I love pickles. Just me, but I would say they probably have the best fried pickles in town (from what I have tried). Compared to O'Charleys and Toots in particular. Their portions are a bit large but their prices are good.

Terrible service and food takes upward of an hour to get out at lunch. We were one of 3 tables in the restaurant and were there on a lunch break. Took 85 minutes ...and we called in our order prior to arriving (group of 8). Drinks were never refilled. Not worth the trouble.

We stopped to eat here on our way back from Louisville. We have missed the Smokey Bones that was at Cool Springs and closed years ago as it was our Friday night regular hang out. This location was unfriendly and I man downright unfriendly when we asked could we sit in a booth by the window - the section was open so it shouldn't have been a problem but it was and I had already turned to walk out when they decided to accommodate our request. The service was slow and the food did not live up to Smokey Bones' standards.

I was trying to find something open late so looked to my fellow yelpers for help and w/the reviews, I figured it would be good. It was bad, real bad. Kettle chips were breaded, didn't even know they were supposed to be. My garlic sirloin tasted as if the sauce was thawed on my steak. The grilled corn was canned corn fried in a pan and the shrimp was bad...I literally ran to the bathroom and I'm nauseous as I'm writing this. The bbq sauces were blah. The waitress was nice enough. The bathroom was filthy. The decor is ok but not too welcoming.

Was in Bowling Green for business when I decided to stop off at Smokey Bones BBQ & Sports Bar. From the outside the place looks like a log cabin lodge and it carries that image on the inside too. Place is big with plenty of space. You don't feel like you're crammed in their like other places I've been too. They have several large screen TV which makes watching a game easy. Most of the stuff is BBQ with an Applebees touch to it. Prices here are reasonable. You can get most items between the $10 - $15 mark. Got in there and waiter came and placed in my order. I ended up getting the Smokehouse Chicken with a salad and a Coke. Not sure what it is when I travel to middle America, but I do like the fact they are not shy about their portions. I got the salad and it was huge. The salad wasn't the freshest salad I've had but I give Smokey Bones credit with loading it up with lots of veggies. Overall a good start. I got the smokehouse chicken and just like the salad, another very generous serving. I got 2 huge chicken breast with a good amount of bacon, Cheddar, and onion rings on top. To be honest, not the healthiest thing on the plant and probably topped 1,500 calories. I decided to get something sweet and ended up ordering the fresh donuts with the vanilla creme. Took a while, but they were really good. About 6 small donuts with Cinnamon and the vanilla creme just added something more to it. Very solid. Overall, probably about 3.5 rating. But the generous portion sizes, decent prices, and friendly services makes me round to up to a 4 star rating. So if you are looking to watch the game and just shovel massive amounts of food in your mouth that taste good, Smokey Bones BBQ & Sports Bar is an excellent choice.

Went here while on a business trip. The service was great. I was seated immediately and my waitress made sure that I had everything that I needed. They had a special that if you checked in with foursquare you received a free Kettle Chips appetizer (which was actually good). I ordered the pulled pork plate with bbq baked beans and slaw. The pork and beans were good but the slaw didn't have much taste. They have happy hour at this location all day, every day, so they had some good drink specials. I will visit this location again.

I've been here several times and rarely received good service. The food is fair at best, but you should expect that from a chain restaurant trying to specialize in Barbecue.
